What is wrong with me? After all these years I still have not tried this place! I no longer am in the area but go back often. Everyone raves about the garbage plate. Adding to bucket list now.

Country Sweet Chicken & Ribs | Best Wings in NY

I absolutely adore this place. Yes adore. I have been eating here since 1986. I no longer live in Rochester but go back a good amount and always stop by to get my fix. For about 25 years,, I have stored Country Sweet sauce in my kitchen. If you visit tell the cashier you want the 10 piece mixed wings with loganberry drink. Don't get the wings to go. Be sure you eat them right in the restaurant so they are nice and hot. At one time there were perhaps 6 restaurants and then all closed but one. Now the new owner just opened another store!

This iconic Rochester news anchor has been on the air since I was a little boy. I was in Leo's Bakery something like 4 years ago and was trying to decide on which of their delicious cookies I was going to buy. Mr. Alhart, who was standing right next to me, told me all about this cookie he loved. Anyway, he's a down to Earth guy!

A Rochester institution! Frozen custard is sort of like soft ice cream but thicker and creamier.

Erie Canal: Pittsford to Fairport New York Bike Tour - YouTube

I used to take this path from Fairport to Pittsford, NY with friends. Would spend the day messing around along the path arriving at Bill Wahl's ice cream parlor. My favorite was bubble gum or cinnamon ice cream. Good times!
