Now we know all the important stuff about the Matrix star!

Lots about the actor remains a mystery given how much he enjoys keeping his private life private, but Stephen Colbert took the chance to be nosey during The Late Show this week.

Keanu took part in the aptly titled ‘Colbert Questionert’ segment, which included 15 questions to really, as put by Stephen, ‘penetrate the soul’.

One of the questions was: “You get one song to listen to for the rest of your life: What is it?”

Keanu mulled over the incredibly hard question while shaking his head a few times, but eventually answered: “I’m going to take Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart.”

The 1980 classic track is definitely a strong answer for such a tricky question, and Stephen didn’t stop there with the grilling.

Keanu revealed 1975’s Roller Ball starring James Caan as his favourite action movie, his best sandwich is a toasted crunchy peanut butter sandwich with honey, and in a surprising turn, Colbert got Keanu to unveil his very favourite smell.

The actor replied: “Today, I’m going pick my 1974 Norton Commando when the engine warms up.

“When you’ve been giving a good go, the oil in the engine heats up, and the smell that comes off the engine is really good.”

In other Keanu news, we reported how the action star is rumoured to be starring in the upcoming Martin Scorsese series ‘The Devil In The White City’.

Deadline says he is in negotiations to appear in Hulu’s series based on Erik Larson’s 2003 book.

It would be the first time Keanu has starred in a major TV series, and fellow Hollywood heavy-hitter Leonardo DiCaprio will be an executive producer on the project too, having bought the film rights back in 2010.

An official synopsis reads: “The Devil In The White City tells the true story of two men, an architect and a serial killer, whose fates were forever linked by The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893.”
