We Found Out What the Cast of 'Last Man Standing' Is Up to Now

Last Man Standing has been off the air for more than a year, but the Baxter family still holds a fond place in viewers' hearts. The show wasn't without some off-screen drama, with a cancellation and reboot and a few of the main characters being replaced by new actors, but the family sit-com remains a favorite.
While some of the actors have had quiet careers since the season finale, others, like Tim Allen (who is reprising one of his most famous roles), Kaitlyn Dever (who is a front runner for an Emmy this year), and Nancy Travis (who will appear in a new Hallmark drama) are keeping busy in the entertainment industry.

Then: Tim Allen as Mike Baxter
Tim Allen has become a Hollywood icon, with famous roles on Home Improvement and as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story franchise. His grumpy portrayal of Mike Baxter, father and owner of an outdoor store, kept us laughing for 9 seasons.
Now: Tim Allen
Although he didn't voice Buzz in the new Lightyear animated feature (that role went to Chris Evans), he is returning to the small screen in a big way. The actor will be putting his red suit back on to reprise his role in The Santa Clauses, a Disney+ spinoff.
Then: Nancy Travis as Vanessa Baxter
Nancy's Hollywood career spans more than 35 years, with roles in movies like Three Men and a Baby, The Vanishing, and So I Married an Axe Murderer. As Vanessa, she kept Tim Allen's Mike in check.
Now: Nancy Travis
The actress will be starring in an all-new Hallmark Channel series called Ride. The primetime drama will focus on a rodeo family, and Nancy portrays the matriarch. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2023.
Then: Molly Ephraim as Mandy Baxter

Molly starred as the original Mandy for the first six seasons of the show. When Last Man Standing was canceled by ABC and picked up by Fox, the character was recast, much to the shock of fans.

The youngest Baxter daughter was a series regular for the first six seasons then a guest star on seasons seven, eight, and nine when the character headed off to the Air Force Academy. Behind the scenes, Kaitlyn was building an acting career in Justified, Booksmart, and Unbelievable.

Early fans of the show will remember that Amanda was not the original Kristin. Alexandra Krosney took on that role for the first season, and then Amanda replaced her for seasons two through nine.

Then: Molly McCook as (New) Mandy Baxter
Molly took over as then new Mandy when the show switched from ABC to Fox. The actress has also been seen in Good Trouble and The Ranch.
