Don't know how accurate it is but in most Westerns they play 5 Card Draw Poker. Draw Poker is a faster game with more rakes than Stud. Texas Hold'em where only two cards are dealt and five cards are shared between eight players is even faster. The faster the game, the more rakes for the house, which is why Hold'em has been pushed and televised by the Gambling Houses now.
In the case of Doc Holliday, gambling became his main source of income from 1874 onwards. As a qualified dentist, his dental surgery wasn't too prosperous on account of his tuberculosis. Holliday discovered he had a natural aptitude for gambling and thus his dental career was no more.
Wyatt Earp became a highly successful businessman in gambling. He owned and leased four saloons and gambling halls in San Diego, his most famous being the Oyster Bar on Fifth Avenue. His most profitable period was from 1885 to approximately 1888.

There wasn’t a lot of poker played in old west casinos. Faro was the popular game for regular folks. Poker was more of an educated person’s game. The game depends on the year. From the pre-Civil War, up to the coming of the Kansas Pacific Railway, it would have been five card stud. Once the Texans started showing up with cattle, five card draw become more popular.

In the Old West, the most popular version of poker was Five-Card Draw. This variant was favored for its simplicity and the straightforward nature of its gameplay, making it accessible to a wide range of players. Other popular variants included Stud Poker, particularly Seven-Card Stud, as well as Lowball, but Five-Card Draw was the quintessential game associated with saloons and casinos of that era. The social aspect of poker also contributed to its popularity, as it was often played in a more relaxed and informal setting.
So, you think you’ve drafted a tweet, an email, a short story, or even a novel. These are different forms of communication, but the process of bringing them to fruition has a necessary, sometimes overlooked step: editing! Unless you’re a professional writer, it’s unlikely that you have an editor who can review your writing regularly. Here are some tips to help you review your own work.

- Give your writing some space. Have you ever felt a mix of pure relief and joy when you’ve finished a draft of something? Don’t downplay that feeling and the ability to walk away from your work before you start editing it. You may need minutes, hours, or days, but once you sit back down with what you originally had on the page, you’ll have the thrill of looking at it with fresh eyes. You’ll notice errors you may not have seen the first time. You’ll come to new realizations about its overall tone and structure. If it’s a text or email, maybe you only need a few minutes away from it. If it’s a story or essay, perhaps you’ll need longer. Regardless of what type of work it is, it will help your writing tremendously.
- Don’t use overachieving synonyms. Looking at your work for the second, third, or fourth time around may inspire you to spice up your language with longer, more uncommon words. There’s nothing wrong with having a thesaurus nearby, but try to limit the repetition of long, pretentious-feeling words so your work flows well and doesn’t feel too bogged down. At the end of the day, you want it to feel true to you and the message you’re conveying.
- Remember who the reader is. Don’t forget your own voice as the writer—but don’t forget who your reader is. Many writers get too close to their work; editing is a chance to try to get out of your own head. Who is your ideal reader? What do you want them to take away from the writing? It’s a unique time to step in their shoes, to make sure your communication is as effective as you’d like it to be.
- Kill your darlings. Don’t be scared to remove chunks of your work, even if it feels precious to you. If it’s a passage that’s really tough to part with, try saving it somewhere else, so you can return to it later in your piece or for another work.
- Use Grammarly. Last but not least, Grammarly has countless resources for editing your work. Our writing assistant helps you find areas of your writing that are unclear or too wordy, as well as help you find mistakes you might not have caught.
Editing may feel tedious, but it’s just as important as writing itself. For an extra pair of editing eyes on everything you write, download the free Grammarly for Windows and Mac today.

Played with a 40 card deck. Cards from top and bottom of deck were placed face up. You bet on whether or not the next card drawn would match the top or the bottom. Winners were paid one to one. Bank collected losing bets.. Odds were heavily in favor of the Bank.

Professional gamblers would pay thousands of dollars to an establishment to rent a table in a high class environment. If the house didn't rent the tables dealers were paid as much as $10 a shift. Gambling was one of the few professions where women were accepted and could make a good income.
Very much so, particularly Stud Poker and Draw Poker (5-Card more than 7), as it could consume a lot of hours with nothing else to do and would often be played for matchsticks, dried beans, small coins (a raise of a nickel or 25 cents was far more common than the mountains of paper currency in movies, but then winning several days’ wages of $3–8 just isn’t dramatic.

A deck of cards was easy to carry in a pocket or store in a tent, cabin, saddlebag, wagon, barracks, etc. unlike virtually any other game (even checkers or chess which were also very popular.) Poker chips are bulky and more something only a professional gambling operation in a bar, gambler’s den/casino, etc. would reliably have (you want people to focus on the artificial chips when they gamble so it doesn’t seem like real money.)
Faro, nearly forgotten, was extremely popular then and many gamblers would operate as independent Faro Dealers, paying the saloon a portion of their take as rent. Blackjack (just a deck of cards required) was also very popular while the roulette wheels in so many movies were expensive and rare (but extremely profitable for the casino.)
A lot of people are overpaying on everyday expenses without even realizing it. Good news is, fixing it is way easier than you’d think.
With just a few smart moves, you could free up hundreds (maybe even thousands) of dollars. No extreme budgeting. No second job. Just a few tweaks to stop overspending and start saving.
1. You might be sitting on tens of thousands in home equity (without even realizing it)

1. You might be sitting on tens of thousands in home equity (without even realizing it)
If you’ve owned your home for a while, there’s a decent chance you’ve built up equity - money you could access when needed. Some people use a home equity line of credit (HELOC) to cover home projects or pay down debt at a lower interest rate.
It’s not free money, though. A HELOC lets you borrow against your home’s value, so it only makes sense if you have a plan for the money. But if you’re paying high-interest debt while your home equity just sits there? It might be worth looking into.
Try comparing rates from different lenders before you decide. Here’s a popular site to compare rates: link.
2. Your car insurance company hopes you’re not shopping around for better offers
Insurance companies don’t exactly reward loyalty. In fact, they count on people sticking with the same policy year after year, even when cheaper options could exist.
Shopping around could save you hundreds. I managed to save around $1,300 for the exact same coverage. But comparing offers manually is a hassle, which is why comparison sites are becoming more popular.
If you haven’t checked in a while, it’s worth a quick look. Worst case? You confirm you’ve got the best deal.
Here’s the site I used to compare offers: Coverage.com - but Auto-Savings.com is solid too.
3. Get this company to get some of your debt forgiven
If you’re deep in credit card debt, you’ve probably seen ads promising to wipe it all away.
The reality is that debt relief companies can negotiate down what you owe, (depending on your situation).
For people struggling with $10k+ in unsecured debt, working with a legitimate debt relief company can sometimes lead to major reductions. Just be aware - this isn’t instant or magic.
You’ll still need to make payments, and it can impact your credit. But if you're feeling stuck, it’s an option worth checking out.
On average people who use a debt relief program get their debt reduced by 23% (after fees). Here’s a calculator if you want to see how much you could end up saving.
4. Find discounts when you shop online
Online shopping hacks are everywhere, and some actually work. Capital One Shopping is a browser extension that scans for lower prices and applies coupon codes automatically.
It’s not a miracle tool - sometimes there’s no discount to be found. But when it works, it works.
Plenty of people have saved on everything from tech to furniture without hunting down codes themselves.
It’s free to use, so there’s not much downside to trying it. Grab it here.
5. Get a company to pay your repair bills
If your appliances or HVAC system die unexpectedly, repairs can get expensive. That’s why some homeowners use a home warranty to cover unexpected breakdowns.
It’s not for everyone, but if you’ve got aging appliances and don’t want to shell out thousands for a sudden repair, it’s worth checking what’s covered.
Do your research, but this seems to be a highly rated company with a bunch of years operating: here’s a link to their site.
6. Get a financial advisor (a good one will pay for itself)
Financial advisors aren’t just for millionaires. The right one can help with tax planning, investing, budgeting, and long-term financial goals.
That said, not all advisors are created equal. Some charge high fees without delivering much value.
But the good ones? They can help you make smarter money moves and potentially see better returns than going it alone. If you’re curious, it might be worth chatting with an advisor to see if they’re actually useful for your situation.
Use a site like this one to find a local advisor with good reviews (if you don’t know one personally).
Strange, but I cannot recall reading anything about how successful gamblers were in the Old West. I would assume that since Doc Holliday gambled a lot, he probably knew what he was doing and would have thus won more often than he lost. He, after all, had given up his dentist trade due to his coughing. He had to make money some way, and gambling was one of his pastimes.
I have never read anything to indicate whether Wyatt Earp himself gambled all that much. He operated saloons at various times in his life, and he frequently ran faro games in saloons, but I have never read much about his own gamb

I have never read anything to indicate whether Wyatt Earp himself gambled all that much. He operated saloons at various times in his life, and he frequently ran faro games in saloons, but I have never read much about his own gambling habits. But since Wyatt spent so much of his time in and around saloons, he would certainly have known how to gamble and win more often than lose. I think the evidence suggests that he understood how to be successful in frontier towns, and that meant not losing his money gambling and not getting drunk from liquor. He operated saloons and ran gaming tables so that others could lose their money and get drunk.
This is very complex, partially because it is very difficult to define “Wild West.”
The first part is easy. There were a lot of places where gambling was illegal. One of the more interesting places where it is still illegal to this day is Boulder City, Nevada. Even though just down the road from Las Vegas, Boulder City did not legalize gambling with the rest of the state because it didn’t want after hours problems from drunk, gambling construction workers who were working on the Boulder Dam. It basically pushed the problems, and profits, to Vegas.

In other places all over the United States gambling was perfectly legal in the time usually called the Old West. A better way to put it was that gambling and dozens of other activities had not yet been made illegal. The United States was founded on a belief in “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness,” and that included the pursuit of gambling, drinking and whoring in much of the country. https://digitalscholarship.unlv.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1223&context=grrj
If you have seen the HBO series “Deadwood,” you may know that much of the West was disputed territory. I guess you could say gambling was tolerated, when the actual fact was nobody was sure who were the proper legal authorities. This is still true in the modern West. Where I live in the West, there are a couple of massage parlors which allegedly offer “extra services” for a fee. I don’t know personally. They sit on land which is claimed by a local city, the county and the local Indian community. All local authorities and no local authorities technically have jurisdiction. The FBI would have authority but is too busy to worry about “extra services.” Everything that happens in these parlors may be completely legal or completely illegal. But who enforces the law in these establishments?
One of these parlors is particularly interesting because in addition to a massage you can also get tire repair, diesel truck service, oil changes, welding, buy real estate and rent a truck or trailer all in the same facility. There have been restaurants in tents and house trailers there also. The place resembles “Barter Town” from the Mad Max movies. It is not a building as much as a large structure of various metal, plywood and drywall sheets wired together. It is near a highway and there are crude, hand scribbled billboards announcing the various services. These businesses could not exist together and the building would not pass code if there was an overseeing legal authority. That’s life in the West.
Texas Hold’em has been gaining popularity from the early 90’s to the present. At local casinos (some open for more than 100 years), 40–50 years ago, they would only play stud (7-card stud, mostly) and 5 card draw. 30 years ago, it was about 50/50% of stud/draw games to Texas Hold’em. Starting about 20 years ago, Texas Hold’em really took off in popularity, and draw / stud games began a big decline

Starting about 20 years ago, Texas Hold’em really took off in popularity, and draw / stud games began a big decline.
Now, almost all casinos around here play at least 90% Texas Hold’em, if not 100%, due to Texas Hold’em rising popularity. In fact, it is often difficult or impossible to find a live draw or stud game in the San Francisco Bay Area region (8 large poker room / casinos, and at least a dozen more smaller poker rooms).
Why did this happen? In my opinion, several main reasons:
1. In the mid to late 90’s, there was an explosion of online poker gaming (Poker Stars, Ultimate Poker, etc.). Texas Hold’em is a fast paced game and well suited to online play.
2. The World Series of Poker - It has been around for decades, but since the mid 90’s it has been broadcast on TV, and has had exploding ratings over the last 20 years. People watch, and then they want to try their hand at poker. Texas Hold’em games (especially the main event) have had the most TV exposure, therefore there is more public demand for that game.
3. Texas Hold’em is generally a pretty fast-paced game, with only 4 betting rounds. It can be quite exciting to play and watch. Each hand can take 1 minute (depending on the players and game stakes), so it is a relatively fast game compared to stud or draw poker.
4. Texas Hold’em is like chess. Fifteen minutes to learn the basics of the game, but a lifetime...
I introduced my friend to poker while I was in Macau, that’s Texas Hold’em Poker, because he was losing so much money playing blackjack, I had to stop him from bleeding out cash at the tables.
Since then he’s been hooked on THP.
It boils down to the skills you need to carry a hand and there is a sense of fierce competition on a table to come out on top.
Poker isn’t about playing to win. It is more like bluffing to win.

Kenny Roger’s song The Gambler best sums up the game.
On a warm summer's eve
On a train bound for nowhere
I met up with the gambler
We were both too tired to sleep
So we took turns a-starin'
Out the window at the darkness
The boredom overtook us,
And he began to speak
He said, "Son, I've made a life
Out of readin' people's faces
Knowin' what the cards were
By the way they held their eyes
So if you don't mind me sayin'
I can see you're out of aces
For a taste of your whiskey
I'll give you some advice"
So I handed him my bottle
And he drank down my last swallow
Then he bummed a cigarette
And asked me for a light
And the night got deathly quiet
And his faced lost all expression
He said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right
You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done
Every gambler knows
That the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for is to die
in your sleep
And when he finished speakin'
He turned back toward the window
Crushed out his cigarette
And faded off to sleep
And somewhere in the darkness
The gambler he broke even
But in his final words
I found an ace that I could keep
You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'

Just my impression, but I’d say it’s a few things -
- It moves quickly
- The rules are very straightforward (compared to a lot of poker home games)
- The large number of shared cards makes for much more head-to-head psychology in the game. So if feels less like you’re watching random chance and more like you’re watching skill
- The big pool of shared cards and individual hands of 2 cards mean you can have a much larger table of players than most other games

Before the poker boom, you generally found poker only in Las Vegas casinos, and the poker room would be in an out-of-the-way location—perhaps under stairs, near to the loudest slot machines. They would have irregular and inconvenient hours. There would be no signs, no promotions, no comps. The World Series of Poker was just a publicity stunt, it was not intended to draw poker players to Las Vegas.
Why did they offer it? It was not a money-maker, the rake didn’t cover the cost of the dealers and floor space. Partly it was to enhance their image as Old West gambling places (although in the real Old West, faro was far more popular than poker), partly it was to draw in some home poker players who would hopefully play some other games, or their wives and girlfriends would (you never saw women at the old poker tables in casinos, although plenty played in California card rooms at the time). Casino managers thought of the poker room more like a bar or show than a gambling area.
Then the poker boom, fueled by on-line poker. Suddenly poker was an important way to draw in business, and it could actually be made to pay. It was not as lucrative as other games, but the new poker players were willing to pay higher rakes and also more likely to gamble at other games. A tournament could draw in hundreds of customers for an otherwise slow weekend. In the boom, all the casinos in Las Vegas had poker, and most casinos in the US added poker rooms, and many casinos outside the US offered it as well.
Now things have retrenched somewhat. Many casinos closed their poker rooms, or run very restricted hours for poker. But it’s still pretty common in the US, and you can find it in other countries as well. It’s something that pays marginally in some areas. But it’s still something contrary to the basic casino business model, that exists uncomfortably where it remains.
I think it’s a couple of things.
The hole card camera, which only has to be able to show two cards. Draw poker would need a way to show the entire hand. It’s not impossible, but easier to get the players to work with.
The common cards, which make for more drama than stud poker. You need something to build drama on. When a player has a great hand after the flop, everyone knows he has a great hand even though more cards are to come. In pure stud, no one knows what anyone has until the last card is dealt.
This combination makes for good television.

That would be an extremely large and expensive game, but also not an unbelievable one for some of the truly, and extravagantly wealthy of the time. Probably a bit out of the league of most professional gamblers however. Are you asking just out of curiosity, or do you intend to do something with this hypothetical?
It combines skill, luck, and nerves in a way very few card games do, and it’s faster-paced than the ones that can compare.

The auzzies, like those in Vegas, have an affinity for slots (otherwise known as pokies to locals). You might be interested to know that most of Australia’s population (approximately 80%) take part in some form of gambling.

In recent years, poker has evolved far beyond the traditional games of Texas Hold’em and Omaha. One of the variations that has gained remarkable traction is Short Deck Hold’em, also known as Six-Plus Hold’em. This version has fewer cards—36 instead of the regular 52—since cards below 6 are removed from the deck. I first encountered this variant in high-stakes games in Macau, where top poker pros introduced it to spice up the game. The reduced deck size increases the likelihood of hitting strong hands, which leads to more aggressive play and a higher variance. Mathematically, this change shifts

Mathematically, this change shifts the odds considerably—flushes become rarer, while straights and sets become more common. For example, in Short Deck, the odds of flopping a set are closer to 17% compared to the standard 11.8% in Texas Hold’em.
Another variation that has gained momentum is Open-Face Chinese Poker (OFC). I remember trying OFC during a tournament break, and it quickly grew on me due to its unique combination of strategy and luck. Each player is dealt five cards initially, and then additional cards are dealt one at a time, with the goal of building three poker hands (a front hand of three cards, and two five-card hands: middle and back). The challenge here lies in the fact that you need to make decisions before seeing all the cards, which adds a thrilling layer of strategy. Mathematically, building a strong middle hand to avoid fouling (where your hands don’t rank properly) is crucial, and I once lost 18 points in a single round due to a bad decision in structuring my hand early.
A third variant that’s become popular, especially online, is Spin & Go poker, where I initially encountered it through online poker platforms that cater to recreational players. These hyper-turbo Sit & Go tournaments are played by three players, and the prize pool is determined randomly before the game starts, ranging from 2x to 12,000x the buy-in. This format’s randomness and fast pace make it appealing for casual players who want quick games with a chance to win big. The short stack structure and high blinds encourage aggressive play. In fact, based on my personal experience, it requires an entirely different strategy than a regular tournament—tight play is less rewarding, and stealing blinds and making quick decisions are critical. Statistically, it’s been calculated that the average prize pool multiplier is around 3x, but the thrill lies in the chance of hitting that huge multiplier.
All these variants have brought fresh life to the poker world, each with its own mathematical quirks and strategies, keeping the game exciting for both professionals and newcomers alike.
Yes, Texas Hold’em, no-limit betting style, is still the most popular form of poker. It is the most popular in all categories whether they be live play, online play, cash games, tournaments, heads up, six max, or full tables.
Second in popularity, and growing, is Omaha. Specifically the pot-limit variety. It is being spread in most brick and mortar card rooms as well as online poker sites. Not as many PLO tournaments run as NLHE, but Omaha’s popularity is on the rise and it is slowly taking more market share from NLHE.
The specific historical reason is that it was chosen for the original World Series of Poker. However it also has some advantages that led to it being the central form of poker during the poker boom.
- It is the easiest form of poker to play. It does not require the player to remember any cards or card actions. It has the simplest mathematics and strategy.
- It is the best form of poker for spectators.
- It is the easiest form of poker for casino dealing.

With regards to poker’s “declining popularity” the landscape has definitely changed in the past ten years. In particular with the rise of online players, the huge increase in average skill, and then the US crackdown that more or less banned online play in 2011 and left many pro’s cut off from their money.
But if you look at other measures things are going fine, for example the WSOP main event attendance, which has a $10k buy-in. Had 6358 players attending in 2007, and in 2018 there were 7874 players (the high attendance ever). High roller tournaments with $25k+ buy-ins have taken off globally and there’s way more opportunities there.
That’s like asking what poker stakes are today. They range from microstakes (1/2 cent blinds) all the way up to whatever stakes multi- billionaires play, but I think Tom Dwan said he knew of a game that had $500,000/$1,000,000 blinds, though he didn’t play in it. With a standard 100 big blind buy-in, that means you’d need $100,000,000 to buy in!
I imagine back then it was about the same - games with tiny stakes and games with the most massive of stakes.

Although we have limited reliable information about the earliest poker games, it seems likely to me the form of poker played before 1830 or so was “straight poker,” each player was dealt five cards and there was a single round of betting. There were no antes or blinds, and no straights for flushes, Aces were high only. But all the other betting and hand rank rules were identical to the modern game. Also from earliest days, it was played with poker checks (usually called “chips” today, but a casino chip is just a marker to be used at a table game, while a check has cash value) not cash. We know it was sometimes played with only tens, face cards and Aces when there were only two players.
By the end of the Civil War, or a few years later, antes, blinds, straights, flushes, draws and exposed cards (stud poker) were widespread. There were many regional variants and house rules. Since that time, people have invented many variants of the game, but there has been no fundamental change.
The accuracy of the card games depends on the movie. Not many cowboys, for example, would have played poker. Faro was by far the most popular gambling game in the Old West, and more people played other games of pure chance using cards, dice or wheels than played poker. Poker was a game for people who were more educated, more ambitious or both; particularly in professions that involved a lot of travel and waiting around alongside similar types, with chances for riches and glory. Soldiers, miners, lawmen, merchants and professionals (both professional gamblers and lawyers, doctors, teachers and engineers) were more commonly found at a poker table.
In blackjack, you are playing against the House (dealer), and you have options, depending on the situation: hit, stand, split, double down, insurance.
In poker, you’re playing against the other people at the table. The House makes money on the game from the rake (a certain amount taken from each pot, which goes up as the pot gets bigger, up to some maximum). For example, at Foxwoods in $1/2 No Limit Holdem, the maximum rake per pot is $5, plus $1 for the Bad Beat Jackpot or other ongoing promotions.

In baccara by contrast, it’s you are watching two other entities try to win the hand, and you get to bet on which one will win, or if there will be a tie. That is your only choice: bet on the Banker to win, Bet on the player’s hand to win, or bet on a tie. There are rules about when each hand gets a third card, but you as the bettor have no influence on the outcome of the hand.
If you bet on the Player to win, and win, you get 1–1. If you bet on the Banker to win, and win, you get 0.95–1. If you bet on a Tie and there is a tie, you win 8–1. With the commission on Banker bets factored in, the house edge between Player and Banker is slight. The House edge on Tie bets is huge.
The overall House Edge in baccarat if you only bet on the Banker is a very low 1.06%. This makes it a better deal than most other games in the casino, but as described above, it’s not a high-action, exciting game (remove the images of James Bond beating the villain out of $3.2 million in baccarat from your mind).

Doyle Brunson called it ‘The Cadillac of Poker,’ and other poker legends referred to it as the thinking man’s game.
In no other card game could a professional poker player thrive as much as in Texas Hold’em, because of all of the combinations and patterns of cards which could be predicted. More importantly, the bluff became key in winning, since it was very easy for more than one player to have the same value hand, due to the community cards everyone played from. A strong personality like Amarillo Slim was right at home playing the bluff, intimidating his opponents, and guessing what cards they really had.
The World Series of Poker
Since its humble origins at Binion’s Horseshoe in downtown Vegas, the WSOP has grown in popularity from just a few seasoned pros, to hundreds of new hotshots and poker stars. And the most popular game at the top level tournaments is No Limit Hold’em. The ability to raise the blinds sky high ($100,00/$200,000) quickly separates the wheat from the chaff.
The Media
When Doyle Brunson wrote the poker bible ‘Super System’ in the 70s, he opened up Texas Hold’em to a wide audience. His thorough explanation of the systems he used in playing, plus the psychology of bluffing, made the book an invaluable resource for a budding poker player. In fact, it was the first book to deal in detail with the psychological aspect of the game. Call it the origin of the Poker Face.
Movies like Rounders, with Matt Damon and Edward Norton, brought Hold’em to the masses. Once people watched these poker pros ripping through the jackpots, a new Hold’em fever swept the nation.
It could also be that Hold’em is just really good fun compared to other poker variants. Also, online gambling allowed players to ‘practice’ their poker game, without the intimidation of poker faces. Nobody could read their faces in the anonymity of the internet. Some of these players even went on to be tournament pros, just by winning enough in online casinos to qualify for the WSOP.
This really depends on the location of the casino.

Pure 3:2 Blackjack games with manual shoes are disappearing, as variants are becoming more popular. Sadly, those variants kill the edge for the skilled player, but are great for the table hold %. Continuous shuffles are common now as well, impossible to count into and increase the hands per hour dealt on a table.

If your referring to Las Vegas my answer is yes, almost all the major casinos here have at least 1 or 2 tables. Smaller casinos not so much as it is a very slow game with minimal house advantage.
